Southland District Council is responsible for providing services to a diverse range of communities across the largest land area of any territorial authority. Following a review of how we deliver our services in our critical water, wastewater and stormwater activities we recognise the need to add to our team. This is to address changes in the regulatory and national policy environment and deliver on our organisation-wide focus on continuous improvement.

We currently have opportunities for a manager operations, asset manager wastewater, asset manager storm water and a contract engineer to join our dedicated team of professionals.

Our Asset Manager Wastewater will utilise sound asset management practices to drive and deliver the establishment of the strategic direction and development of activity management plans for waste water infrastructure.  They will establish planned maintenance programmes, capital programmes and contribute to development of Councils Long Term Planning process and undertake health and safety observations.
