Southland District Council is a customer-centric organisation working together for a better Southland. As a local authority we administer the largest land area in New Zealand. To this end we have 8 Area Offices throughout our district ensuring that the vital link between our communities and Council is maintained.
We have exciting opportunities for casuals to join our team initially in our Invercargill office but may work across the district when needed. Hours will be varied and on an on call basis.
Our Customer Support Partners aim to provide first point of call resolution for our organisation so that means they need to know our business inside and out. Our ideal candidate will have experience in a customer service/front counter based role, be a quick learner, able to think on their feet, experienced in the management of money, system savvy with proven competency in the Microsoft Office suite of programmes and above all else be able to align themselves with our organisational values of Taking Ownership, Being Proud to Belong, Creating Opportunities and Working Together.
