Southland District Council is responsible for providing services to a diverse range of communities across the largest land area of any territorial authority. Following a review of how we deliver our services in our critical water, wastewater and stormwater activities we recognise the need to add to our team. This is to address changes in the regulatory and national policy environment and deliver on our organisation-wide focus on continuous improvement.

We currently have opportunities for a manager operations, asset manager wastewater, asset manager storm water and a contract engineer to join our dedicated team of professionals.

Our Manager of Operations will lead our operations team of 8.  You will be responsible for the day to day service delivery of 3 waters and some waste activities. This includes driving the delivery of the water and waste capital programmes, management of operations and maintenance contracts, undertaking health and safety audits and supervision of the Stewart Island waste activities.
